This is Cobh in Ireland the port for Cork. It was raining when we berthed so we took the commuter train into Cork to find a suitable chemist that sold Berocca to get some desperately needed vitamin C and B. Also we were hoping that the rain would have stopped by the time we returned to Cobh which it did temporarily and long enough for us to explore this quaint old town.
Cobh is where people departed from to board the Titanic anchored in the harbour for that fateful journey. Now days Cobh is desperately hanging onto every bit of Titanic history to cash in on the tourist Euro. We walked the town then did a tourist road train tour that was most enterprising and a good laugh, the driver commentator was a typical Irish larrikin. We eventually met up with our friends in the ancient old pup Rob Roy where Murphy's stout was on tap.
