There's nothing nicer than driving through the Italian countryside on a nice sunny day.
Sea Princess docked at Civitavecchia about one and a half hours from Rome. Having spent some time in Rome a few years ago we opted to take a an excursion to Orvieto, Umbria Central Italy.
This old city is perched on the top of a volcanic mount as is the case of most early Italian towns and cities and is an absolute delight to walk through with it's narrow cobblestone streets and little shops full of interesting things. The best part about it was that it was not crowded with a multitude of tourists. - Highly recommend this place for a visit.

| Cobblestones great for stilettos (not that I would know) |
| The beautiful old Orvieto Cathedral built circa 1330 |
| Ever vigilant guard - Orvieto Cathedral is considered an ISIS target now. |
| Because they're Friars doesn't mean they work in a fish and chip shop. |
